"letting go doesn't mean giving up. it means moving on. it is one of the hardest things a person can do. starting at birth, we grasp on to anything we can get our hands on, and hold on as if we will cease to exist when we let go. we feel that letting go is giving up, quitting, and that as we all know is cowardly. but as we grow older we are forced to change our way of thinking. we are forced to realize that letting go means accepting things that cannot be. it means maturing and moving on, no matter how hard you have to fight yourself to do so."

i guess as much as i get disappointed over certain issues or people, i get over them pretty easily. i remembered not too long ago i got pretty pissed off with a friend over certain matters. well, i guess it wasn't very long after we were fine with each other. i guess the patience and understanding played a huge role. i guess this is something like a major flaw in me - rash. i usually get pissed off at that juncture when things happen and it always takes me quite a while to see things from another perspective, and to understand that the other party wasn't at fault, i've wronged him/her.

such things never seem to cease. they keep happening. so many times i doubted my judgement, wondering am i being too harsh in my words and actions. i guess i was at fault at times. whatever it is, i should just embrace my friends' faults with magnanimity, just like how many of them can disregard my flaws and continue to befriend me. or rather, they point out my flaws to me, knowing that i'll try to change for the better.

i'm putting out my helping hand, hoping you will try and accept, just like how i shamelessly grab yours every time. i guess friends should be thickskinned with each other. (:(: i meant every single one of you who treats me as your friend. i promise i'll try my best to help.
