people say that

"letting go doesn't mean giving up. it means moving on. it is one of the hardest things a person can do. starting at birth, we grasp on to anything we can get our hands on, and hold on as if we will cease to exist when we let go. we feel that letting go is giving up, quitting, and that as we all know is cowardly. but as we grow older we are forced to change our way of thinking. we are forced to realize that letting go means accepting things that cannot be. it means maturing and moving on, no matter how hard you have to fight yourself to do so."

better together
this is gg t be the longest entry i've ever posted, t date. too many pictures and i'm so lazy t choose. yep so on the second last day in taipei, bbb and i decided t leave the grp and go on a date, sth i so wanted t do. because i can go whenever i want t, without having t be bothered by others' objections and opinions. and because its so cool t go on a date overseas, and we dont get t do that everyday!

yep so our date began with a yummilicious brkfast at a little cafe not far fr ximending, where we stayed. nice orange and toast and omelette! (: thn we wld travel by metro t longshan temple, one of a must-go place for us since we're both taoists. scorching hot morning left us sweaty even before lunch time. aft offering our prayings we headed t chiang kai-shek memorial hall.

and all i cld say of there - magnificent. everything seemed huge t me. the gate, the hall, the bronze chiang kai-shek statue inside, i feel minute. and we were rlly lucky t catch the soldiers matching off the hall aft an hr of standing by the side of the statue, motionlessly. i was rlly impressed.

and aft leaving there, we walked quite a distance t din tai fung for lunch. the thought of eating the fried rice left me drooling way before we reached. and i wasnt disappointed at all, the fried rice is great! and the serving's huge enough t make us forget abt the xiaolongbao!

and lastly, we'd go t sun yat sen memorial hall before meeting up with the rest of the guys. it didnt look at magnificent as chiang kai-shek memorial hall but it has a huge statue too. and so many ppl were trying t squeeze it into a corner of their photographs. and as a result, i had a hard time trying t get a nice picture of the statue itself. anw, we walked through the exhibition and had t get the curators who provided english explanatory services t explain t us in mandarin instead. because the traditional chinese characters were too chim for me t comprehend, which makes it even more impossible for me t explain t bbb. and aft tt, we went off t meet the guys at gong guan...

but somehow gong guan wasnt able t arouse my interest. we ended up travelling upwards t danshui again. surprisingly, it was so quiet by evening time. we went t buy tiedan (some food) for the guys and bbb got me this!

my present for the trip! a cute teddy bear with his shades! and thats the sweetest thing he's done in taiwan! (: and back t ximending, we continued t walk ard before settling down in a little restaurant for some pasta dinner. and that pretty much summed up our wonderful date! (:
