people say that

"letting go doesn't mean giving up. it means moving on. it is one of the hardest things a person can do. starting at birth, we grasp on to anything we can get our hands on, and hold on as if we will cease to exist when we let go. we feel that letting go is giving up, quitting, and that as we all know is cowardly. but as we grow older we are forced to change our way of thinking. we are forced to realize that letting go means accepting things that cannot be. it means maturing and moving on, no matter how hard you have to fight yourself to do so."

week 2 of school...
okay, although it's only thurs but yah, just feel like blogging lar. anyway, today we had the first canoe training. we ran on the track for i-cant-remember-how-many rounds, did warm-ups, inclined pull-ups, warm-downs. yah, i was tired but it was fun. the seniors, i meant the girls lar, they were very nice to us. they kept encouraging us so it was like, very nice of them. but after all these arh, my knees and palms are suffering now. cos we did the warm-ups on the track so my knees and palms are like red and very painful lor.

but the funny thing was: i was walking towards to tap my ez link card when a guy was beside me trying to tap his card which just couldnt work. i wanted to ask him de but in the end, i walked away. then later he got thru and was standing beside me and i very nice to smile at him lar cos i recognised him as one of the canoe team members. yah, then we started chatting. then i asked his name, he was swee siang. yah, at that moment i was like...hmm, very familiar. then i told him mine. he was like...'were you from hws?'. then it dawned on me that he was pri school friend lar. he changed quite a lot. he is SO tall now lor. haha, it was such a coincidence. then he asked me where i stayed. i told him lavender. but he was like..' isnt it the other train? this train goes to boon lay.' he was so blur lar, he was the one who got it wrong lor and then he ran down and got to the other side lar. by the time i boarded the train which is less than a min's time, he's already standing there waving at me le...what a difference long legs can make...

haha, i'm looking forward to next training. the seniors expected half of us gone in a month, so i'm waiting to see if it's the case....;)
