"letting go doesn't mean giving up. it means moving on. it is one of the hardest things a person can do. starting at birth, we grasp on to anything we can get our hands on, and hold on as if we will cease to exist when we let go. we feel that letting go is giving up, quitting, and that as we all know is cowardly. but as we grow older we are forced to change our way of thinking. we are forced to realize that letting go means accepting things that cannot be. it means maturing and moving on, no matter how hard you have to fight yourself to do so."

![]() happy new year
i know i'm a bit late, but i still want to wish all my friends a very happy chinese new year.yesterday was so great. at around 12, all my uncles, aunties and my cousins were here. the most common sentence i've heard was that i have grown taller, taller than my sisters. i was so happy that i've grown taller than my cousin. the proudest moment of the day. as usual, i went with my mum and sisters to my grandparents' house. at there, all the close maternal side's relatives were that already. they played mahjong and it was rather sian cos' the rest werent here yet. it was until seven, when we were going to visit my mum's uncle (which i dunno how to address)'s house, they came. well, they werent very welcomed. my cousin dun like them. it's like new year was the opening of the hungry ghosts' festival. they ate like hell. and the kids went to play with my cousin's boyfriend's hamsters. her sis was so angry, but she just dunno how to tell them to stop it. in the end, she locked the door. haha. we, ten over of us, squeezed into 2 cars and went to visit my mum's uncle at west coast. and every year we went there, we were always thinking which floor he stayed. issit take the lift till the 11th floor and take the stairs down to the 9th or take the lift till the 6th floor and climb one level up. so it's the first one. we stayed there for an hour or so and we were leaving for my house where they would play blackjack. i've got a 6-year-old cousin and she has got a 4-year-old sister, both very cute. then we were taking the older one down by stairs and her sis started crying out SUPER loud lor. wah, even at the 7th storey, i could hear her crying. after another half an hour journey, we reached home. then we played blackjack for like 2 hours +/-. then they left. and my mum and sis and i took turns to bathe. then while drying my hair, i watched a 3-part japanese drama on the last princess of china, which is pu jie's wife. yah, at around 1220am, i couldnt stand it anymore and i went to dreamland. shall stop here le...bye! what say you? |
